We do not build rooms beneath the ground. We engineer continuity above it.

An underground shelter is a complex, site-specific construction project. At Bobbuyshouses Ltd., we approach each commission as critical infrastructure, with design choices guided by intended use, site conditions, and the agreed project specification.

Our approach brings together site assessment, structural planning, geotechnical considerations, and specialist building systems. Each facility is developed around the conditions of the property, the intended use, and the requirements defined for the individual project. We do not offer modular kits. We offer bespoke subterranean architecture.

I.

Geological honesty

We begin every project with core sampling and hydrostatic analysis. The ground decides what is possible.

II.

Structural redundancy

Structural elements are developed according to the requirements of the individual project, site conditions, and the applicable engineering specification.

III.

Atmospheric independence

Projects can incorporate independent air, water, and backup-power systems according to the selected configuration and project requirements.

IV.

Discreet delivery

Project information is handled confidentially and access to sensitive client and site details is limited according to operational need and applicable privacy requirements.

What we personally deliver, end to end.

Bobbuyshouses Ltd. coordinates the principal stages of each project, with specialist professional services and contractors engaged where required by the project scope and local regulations.

01

Geotechnical investigation

Borehole drilling, core sampling, groundwater mapping, soil chemistry, and bearing-capacity analysis. We produce a full geotechnical report before a single drawing is issued.

02

Architectural & structural engineering

3D modelling, structural analysis, reinforcement detailing, and professional engineering documentation can be incorporated according to the scope and regulatory requirements of the individual project.

03

Excavation & shoring

Precision excavation with engineered shoring, dewatering, and temporary works. We handle both open-cut and deep-shaft methodologies.

04

Reinforced concrete shell

Poured-in-place reinforced concrete construction with structural reinforcement, waterproofing, and material specifications selected for the individual project.

05

Mechanical & utility systems

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing options can include multi-stage air filtration, backup power, battery storage, water management, and project-specific distribution systems.

06

Entry systems & fit-out

Reinforced access systems, optional airlock-style entry layouts, concealed entry solutions, interior fit-out, commissioning, and final inspection documentation.

From first borehole to final commissioning.

01

Consultation & site survey

An on-site project review can assess the property, intended use, and initial feasibility before any commitment.

1–2 weeks Feasibility report
02

Geotechnical investigation

Core drilling, soil analysis, and hydrostatic mapping. The resulting report defines foundation depth, shell thickness, and waterproofing strategy.

2–4 weeks Geotechnical report
03

Design & permitting

Architectural drawings, structural calculations, and municipal permit applications. We handle zoning, environmental, and building permits on your behalf.

4–8 weeks Project design documentation
04

Construction & commissioning

Excavation, shell pour, MEP installation, entry systems, and full commissioning. A dedicated project manager provides weekly progress reports.

12–24 weeks Commissioning documentation

Built to codes that outlast the events they anticipate.

Structural concrete

Concrete specifications, reinforcement, testing requirements, and installation methods are defined for each project according to its engineering and site requirements.

Severe-weather planning

Storm-shelter configurations are developed around site conditions, occupancy requirements, access needs, and the severe-weather objectives defined for the project.

Multi-stage air filtration

Selected configurations can incorporate HEPA and activated-carbon filtration stages together with project-specific ventilation and pressure-control options.

Electrical protection options

Selected projects can incorporate specialist enclosures, filtered penetrations, and other protection measures for critical electrical and communication systems.

Reinforced entry systems

Specialist reinforced doors, frames, and access systems can be specified according to the requirements of the individual project.

Hydrostatic integrity

Waterproofing systems can combine membranes, drainage, and bentonite-based components selected according to groundwater and site conditions.

Begin a confidential consultation.

Each project begins with a confidential briefing. Our team can review your requirements, discuss site feasibility, and outline possible next steps. The initial consultation is complimentary and without obligation.
